After street sweeping was postponed last week due to the weather, the Town has announced they will resume cleaning up their streets on Monday, May 6th.

On Monday, May 6th, street sweeping crews will be in the Sandstone Drive and Mountain View area.

They will be cleaning Sandstone Drive from D'Arcy Boulevard to Mountain View Drive, Mountain View Drive from Sandstone Drive to Mountain View Gate, Mountain View Gate from Elizabeth Street/Highway 549 to Mountain View Drive, Sandstone Gate from Sandstone Drive to North Ridge Drive, and D'Arcy Boulevard from D'Arcy Ranch Drive to North Ridge Drive.

On Tuesday, May 7th, crews will be tackling Milligan Drive.

They will be cleaning Milligan Drive from Downey Road to Crystal Ridge Drive and Milligan Drive from Drake Landing Loop to 48th Street.

Along with the street sweeping comes parking bans.

Each street that will be cleaned will be under a parking ban from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the day they are swept.

All vehicles and obstructions must be removed from the street for the entirety of the parking ban, so crews can safely get their work done.

While the public is asked to find alternative routes, essential services, such as mail delivery, waste collection, and mail delivery, will remain unaffected by the parking bans.

The Town extends their thanks to the public for their assistance while crews are out and about.

To stay up to date on parking bans in Okotoks, keep an eye on their website.
