The Town of High River want to see a whole lot more citizen involvement in decisions that affect us all.

Mayor Craig Snodgrass says with a slew of open houses and public meetings on tap between now and the new year all about the town revamping their land use bylaws, there's no excuse not to get involved and put in your two cents.

He says if you miss out on being heard, you've got no one to blame but yourself.

"I will guarantee you there are people that will come up after the fact, doesn't matter how many times we do this. That say they had no idea about it. Never got it. And we should have gone door to door and read the whole thing to them on the couch. That's obviously not going to happen that way."

Snodgrass says they really want people to pay attention and get the word out because it encompasses the whole town, residential to business properties.

He says "You can look at it and figure out how it affects you. The important thing is that you actually do look at it."

Snodgrass says the more people they hear from the better a decision they'll be able to make on these bylaws, which will effect almost everything the Town does moving forward.
