Ag Group Call on Government to Support Better Access to Markets

The President of the Canadian Agri-Food Trade Alliance is worried that Canada will not be one of the first six countries to ratify the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Transpacific Partnership.

Brian Innes says, the Bill has been introduced into Parliament but has not received unanimous consent.

The trade agreement could increase Canadian Agri-Food exports by about $1.84 billion.

Beekeepers from Bee My Honey hosted Calgary elementary students at their hives in Blackie Friday, June 22nd.

In celebration of National Pollinator Week, the Connect Charter School students learned about bee's important role in the environment.

Their teacher says, the students are also learning about agriculture and where food comes from.
