Federal Ag Minister Kicks off Canadian Tour

Canada's Agriculture Minister, Lawrence MacAulay, will be making a stop in Alberta as part of his Growing Canadian Agriculture tour.

The Minister kicked off the tour in Quebec yesterday, and will wrap up on July 17th in Abbotsford, B.C.

Other stops include New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, PEI and Saskatchewan.

 

Risk May Be Greater Than Reward For Soybean Growers Looking To Take Advantage Of U.S./China Trade Dispute

China's proposed 25 per cent duty on U.S. soybeans could be a double edge sword for Canada.

Ron Davidson, Executive Director for Soy Canada, says that while Canada may be able to export more soybeans to China at a slightly higher price, the downside is that the drop in the U.S. price would have a bigger effect on Canadian producers.

He says, China imports about two thirds of the world's trade in soybeans.

Dr. Tom Noffsinger says, important to understand the animal’s peripheral vision and to work within it.

Noffsinger says, if you can't see the animals’ eyes then you're in the wrong position.
