CN Rail Parks Over One Thousand Hopper Cars

CN Rail temporarily parked about 1,200 hopper cars at the beginning of the month.

In April, CN Rail spotted over an average of over 6,100 cars per week.

The weekly demand for the first week of May was under 5,000 thousand cars, and CN Rail says, removing excess rail car fleet from the network will improve fluidity for all markets.

The cars are available to be put back on the line for any increase in orders.

On May 2, CN Rail said they moved all grain orders in western Canada for the three weeks straight.
