The Farm Forum Event in Calgary is just around the corner.

The conference, which is celebrating it's 20th Anniversary, starts Tuesday, December 4 at the Telus Convention Centre.

Show Director, Rob O'Connor, says they have a line-up of 37 speakers in five categories.

"There's agronomy, soil health and fertility, on-farm storage, agriculture equipment, and precision in agriculture. So there's five different trails that you can follow throughout, or you can jump back and forth. Whatever a person may want to do at the convention."

O'Connor adds, this year's three day show has more content geared towards farmers.

"We've really got some new programing like farmer panels that talk about crop residue resistance in weeds, and lots of other things including autonomous agriculture and where we see that coming."

O'Connor says, there's also about 15 hours of credits agronomists could earn by attending the conference.

He says, one of highlights of their speaker line-up will be the CEO of Protein Industries Canada, Bill Greuel, making his first public address.

Greuel will be talking about what the group's funding through the federal government's Innovation Supercluster Initiative means for farmers producing plant-based proteins.

In addition to the speaker sessions, there's also a trade show for farmers to take in.
