Tuesday, November 27 is the last day to vote in the Alberta Beef Producers Plebiscite.
Producers are voting whether their check-off dollars used to fund beef industry initiatives will change to being non-refundable or remain refundable.
The provincal check-off is a $2.00 service charge paid on every head of cattle sold, or fed and slaughtered in Alberta.
Alberta Beef Producers says, they've issued over $20 million in refunds since 2010.
Earlier this year, Chair of the Alberta Beef Producers (ABP) and Trochu beef producer, Charlie Christie, said this is an opportunity to invest another $2.5 million annually into the industry if producers vote to make the check-off non-refundable.
You can vote at any Alberta AFSC office until 4:30pm Tuesday afternoon.
