A group of students, and their teacher, from the University of the State of Mexico have travelled to Canada to learn more about agriculture and the English language.

The group consists of about 28 students from ages 19-22. They have been given this opportunity through a government scholarship.

Gabriela Cervantes is an English Teacher at the University in the Faculty of Nursing. She says the best way for the students to learned the language is to be immersed in it.

She adds, the agriculture equipment is especially impressive in Canada.

"In our State, I think we need a little more knowledge about agriculture. Our farmers need to learn a lot from Canada."

Some types of farming in Mexico include flowers, such as Roses, Lilly's, and corn.

The students arrived on Sunday July 2, and will be staying at Olds College for a month.
