Farm employers with waged, non-family workers are eligible for grant money.

The Farm Health and Safety Producer Grant Program will help employers cover the costs of improving their operations to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Code coming into effect for farms and ranches on Saturday, December 1.

Through the grant, producers can receive up to $10,000 to implement health and safety practices and procedures.

The program will provide a total of $6 million over a three year period to farm employers in Alberta.

The grant is funded by Alberta Labour and is administered through Alberta Agriculture and Forestry.
