The numbers are in for this years Agri-Trade Equipment Expo in Red Deer.

Show Manager David Fiddler says they had 31,403 attendees at last weeks show running from Wednesday, November 7th to Friday, November 9th.

Fiddler says they had a record number of just under 500 exhibitors with the addition of the new building connecting the show under one roof.

"There were some large truck sales that happened on the first day of the show where some farmers wrote a cheque for about $150,000 for a power unit to haul their grain. I got similar feedback from a lot of exhibitors that they got lots of good leads."

Fiddler says their attendance was around 2,000 less people than last year, which isn't far off considering the show was shortened from four days to three.

"Ninety-eight per cent of exhibitors were very pleased with the shortened show, and our attendance was slightly affected, but from our exhibitors point of view, they felt the attendees that did come were the ones they wanted to talk to, so I think that was very important."

He adds, there was 80 international visitors from the UK, Australia, Mexico and China at Agri-Trade.
