Alberta Agriculture and Forestry Minister, Oneil Carlier, says the agriculture plastic recycling pilot program is getting a funding boost.

On Wednesday, February 6, Carlier said on Twitter the Provincial Government will be investing one million dollars in the pilot, which is up from the original $750,000 announced in January.

The three year pilot program will focus on recycling twine and grain bags in Alberta.

Carlier says the extra funding is because of so much positive feedback from the rural community.
