Agriculture for Life's farm babies photo contest is back for another year.

People are encouraged to submit photos of their farm animals born in Alberta between January 1 and June 1 of 2018.

CEO of Ag for Life, Luree Williamson, says this is the third year for the contest.

"As we were out and about talking to different farmers and ranchers this time of the year, everyone is so excited for spring with all of the babies. A couple years ago we said lets share some of those photos."

You can join the contest by posting your picture on social media using #FarmBabies18.

“Our #FarmBabies18 contest is a fun way to welcome spring on the farm and celebrate the countless hours of work that farmers and farm families spend caring for their new arrivals,” says Williamson. “Many people don’t understand the dedication and care that goes into raising livestock, so by sharing these photos and stories we hope to help educate Albertans about life on the farm and the vital role agriculture plays in our lives.”

Williamson says, they have a group made up of board members, volunteers, and supporters of the program who will choose the top five photos.

She says, the top five photos will then be posted on social media for people to vote for their favorite.

The winner will receive a selection of goods valued at over $600.
