South Korea is once again accepting shipments of Canadian wheat.

The country closed its borders June 18 after it was announced the week previous that a handful of genetically modified wheat plants had been discovered in southern Alberta in 2017.

Japan closed its borders June 15. The Canadian wheat industry and government are continuing to work with Japan as they complete their due diligence on the matter.

South Korea will continue to test shipments of wheat and flour sourced from Canada.
