The FutureFarm Canada Expo is coming up soon, where new technologies in agriculture will be showcased. The three day event will be held in Olds July 6-8.

This is truly a unique event which offers something for everyone. The event will be focusing on demonstrating new technologies, and providing opportunities for members of the agriculture industry to network.

Wes Scott, Vice President of DMG Events, says they will be bringing in Chefs from around Alberta to present a Farm-to-Fork experience.

"It's really about developing relationships between local farmers, producers, restaurants, and retailers on sourcing local buying local. We're really trying to create a Western Canadian event that focuses on connecting producers with the end users."

Some of the topics being discussed at this event include high legume pasture projects, equine health, and the use of drones in agriculture.

"We also have educational series on a variety of different topics including drones, so farmers can learn what are they able to do with a drone, what are the tools used for, and also understanding the legality of using drones on their properties. It's a fantastic tool to be used whether it's for cattle or monitoring crops. There's just so many different uses for that technology."

This unique event also features live entertainment on the Made in Alberta Stage, and a Fun Zone for children.
