Camp Day at our local Tim Horton's was a blast yesterday with the coffee pouring and
the fun starting at 6am in the morning at the SE location in High River. Kevin and Kim
our hosts at Tim's both locations were filled with joy as they both took part in the making
of a candy floss that was the best I have ever tasted. I know, I usually think of coffee and
muffins at Tim's too but yesterday was a special day and volunteers and employees of Kevin and
Kim's at the local Tim's all had the awesome spirit of the day.
Councillor Cathy Couey, Sargent Hawker, Constable Robin, Fireman Ryan (drinking coffee) and Country
Joe from The Calgary Stampede Stage all were serving as I did the AM 1140 Morning Show LIVE from 6am - 8:30am.
Way to go Tim Horton's.
Our friends Blake and Shelley Willard invited us out for BBQ at Big Sky BBQ last night west of
Okotoks. A great smokey feast was had by all. I love the Diet Coke served in a bottle plus
my favorite, The Smoked Chicken complimented all of the fixin's, brisket, ribs, beans and corn bread.
I am no food critique BUT I like The Smokey flavor of a Texas BBQ and this place would fit right
in in Texas. The staff were awesome friendly too and it's owned by the original owner of Riley's
Cattlebarn were we have had a few good times as well.
Local singer Steve Pointmeier was out for dinner "Smokey BBQ Style" at Big Sky as well. Great to
see Steve on the town.
