The Rangeland Derby kicks off 10 days of racing Friday, June 6, down at Stampede Park.

High River's Jordie Fike, is coming off a middle of the pack run in Ponoka, and is hoping for good things over the next 10 days.

He says it's a grind where just about anything can happen.

"You never know, there's so many factors that play into wagon racing, that we're just going to go hard, the horses will too and we'll see where we shake out."

Fike lines up in heat three Friday.

Okotoks Mark Sutherland is in heat five, while High River's Jason Glass draws the three barrel in heat six.
