In the only appearance of the 'Battle of Alberta' at Rogers Place in Edmonton this season STARS are hoping for a big windfall tonight.

Not only will be Calgary Flames be battling the Edmonton Oilers on the ice, but the fans will be jockeying for the winning ticket.

Edmonton has been renowned for having large 50/50 draws including setting records in 2020 of over $2 million.

In this season's home opener on Wednesday the draw was over $800,000 with the winner taking home over $400,000.

Tonight, is the only time Calgary plays Edmonton at Rogers Place in the 2022-23 season.

And there will be some hometown rivalries that really know what the Battle of Alberta is all about.

Cochrane's own Dillon Dube, who scored a short-handed goal in the Flames home opener on Thursday, will face off against Bragg Creek's Dylan Holloway and former Okotoks Oiler in tonight's game.  Holloway managed to get two shots on net in the Oilers home opener on Wednesday.

The battle gets underway tonight at 8:00 p.m.
