Hello!

So, as you may know, I love going to the gym (weird, I know!) and if I could live in gym clothes all the time, I wouldn't, but, they sure make my butt look good while I got them on!

When I go to the gym, it's my time, with my music (Morgan Wallen ft.FLG's, "Up Down" - all the way - turn it up!), my headspace and my mood elevator.

I'm not going to be a stickler at the gym and I'm not the golden girl at the gym (I've smelled, taken up space and stared at a hot guy or two...), but I've been going to a gym of some sort for 6 years and understand my surroundings and well... we need to have a little chat. K cool.

In the midst of resolutioners a month and a half into their New Years Resolutions, and with our incredible Canadian Olympic atheletes inspiring us to be the best we can be, there have been a wide array of new gym clients at my gym and maybe yours too.

(SIDE NOTE: I think that is amazing that people are at the gym! Working on bettering yourself is always awesome  - no matter the motivation - keep up the good work! You rock! Welcome, welcome!)

Although, the regulars/long time attendees welcome you, we also ask you show some respect to your new surroundings - there are a few house rules.

If I had to summarize every gym rule into eight simple, guiding... principles, they would be as follows:

  • Be aware of your surroundings and respect peoples space
  • Be cool and respectful to EVERYONE at the gym (clients, staff, coaches...etc)
  • Clean off the equipment after you use it/Pick up your equipment after you use
  • Please don't drop your weights if you're not allowed!
  • Wear deoderant/clean workout clothes
  • Don't give advice to people - just don't... (unless someone is actually in danger)
  • Don't stare, don't glare, don't hit on people - but say hi, be polite of course
  • When it comes to cellphone use - it can be beneficial and your gym jams are probably on there, just please don't be distracting with loud music/converstation

K thanks! See you for a good sweat sesh soon!
