A historic business in downtown High River will be reborn.

Although Bradley's Western Wear has closed it's doors after serving the town since 1902, the building will be refurbished into retail space downstairs and residential space above.

Neil Richardson of Heritage Property Management, the new owner says the first step is to make sure it can be restored.

"Nobody wants a museum, they want these buildings to have life and activity", he says, "so how do balance the old and the new?"

Richardson says the building is historically important because of Bradley's very rich western heritage.
