Strathmore is action packed this August Long Weekend with their Stampede! Everything from food trucks, amusement rides as well as rodeo events including RUNNING WITH THE BULLS and Chuckwagon Races are happening at the Agricultural Grounds this weekend in Strathmore.

There were so many families enjoying the weather and all the events planned throughout the day! I was able to speak with Madeline and Geniveve about their newly painted "unicorn faces" and how excited they were to be at the rodeo to see all the animals!

After speaking with Wendy Baker, a volunteer with the "Running of the Bulls" event, I learned that there are three heats of bulls that close to eighty contestants try and last through. If they are successful in getting to the final round the last man or woman standing can win up to $1000! It is a $25 registration fee but no matter if you are the winner or not you will recieve a bright pink t-shirt and the bragging rights that come along with "running with bulls".

However, if running with large, unpredictable and powerful livestock with little to no protection was not for you there were many vendors selling both personalized clothing as well as cowgirl influenced jewerly items to help finish your country look!

John and Donna Rockafellow were selling their handmade furniture which is made using only secondhand barn wood that is transformed into new amazing pieces of furniture. They are local farmers and have been coming to the Strathmore Stampede for "as long as they can remember" as they love coming to community events. Visit their facebook page for more information on Rocky Top Designs!!

Paul Trozzo also was a vendor at the Stampede and was selling his custom designs on t-shirts, hats, and sweaters! Ignition Clothing Company was started in the Spring of 2015 and has been going strong since! Visit his facebook page to see all the amazing merchandise for yourself!

There were so many different events to fit into the day from the symphony to a ventriloquist and hypnotist. Luckily Joesph Stewart, a dedicated stampeder, knew exactly where to go and how to make sure he and his family did not miss out on anything!! His aunt, Julie, was attending the Stampede for the first time and she was ready for an action packed day thanks to her nephew and day planner Joseph.

The fun continues into Monday with the Chuckwagons at 1pm and the Rodeo Finals starting at 3pm! Make sure you bring your friends and family to Strathmore to join in on the Heritage Long Weekend fun!!

If you haven't signed signed up to win the all-new 2019 Ram Laramie Crew Cab 4X4 make sure you do before the summer is over!!

Hope you have a great day,
