The Town of Nanton took to social media today to let people know of a water leak along 17th Street.

"It's a small service line leak," explains the Town of Nanton Operation Manager Bill Woytiuk. "It's just a waterline that goes into one of the residential properties on the street. The emergency locates have been submitted already. The contractor says they'll either be here tomorrow or Friday morning. Certainly not a gusher by any stretch, but it's something that will definitely be addressed shortly."

Because it's a small leak, Woytiuk says the work should only take a few hours once crews are onsite.

"They'll dig down, expose the curb stop, which is the water main shut off for the home, and we'll just pull a new line in from the basement, and that's that. It usually takes a few hours," Woytiuk says.

The Town apologizes for any inconvenience, and they are appreciative of everyone's patience and understanding while the work is being completed.
