The sun was out and shining on Sept 18th for the 36th annual Terry Fox Run.

Things kicked off at George Lane Park and a great group of people came out in support of cancer research.

There was nothing but smiles among the participants and attendees as some cold hard cash was raised in the memory of the inspiration, Terry Fox.

The run itself went out of the park and down past Spitzee Elementary School, up and around on the berm along the Highwood River and then back into the park. Participants of all ages enjoyed the sunshine along the track.

Organizer Brenda McCredie says about 70 people participated last year raising a record amount for High River of $2,800.

It was great to see so many smiling faces out in support of such an important cause.
