Bad news for anyone hoping to make their way to Sheppard Family Park in High River for their annual Threshing Bee next month. According to board member Barry Warnica development in the area has made the event a no go this fall.

Warnica says they had to call it off because the park is in such disarray they couldn't physically move people, horses or equipment around enough to keep things fun and safe.

You can still head to the park this weekend though as they'll be having a corn roast from 2-5 Sunday.

There'll be games for the kids and tours of the park as well.
