The group battling against a biodigester proposed for the Rimrock feedlot in Foothills County has an open house set for this weekend.

Benita Estes says it's a chance to people to get information on the project and their work opposing it.

"We're just hoping that people will come out and check out the information that we have pulled from the permit application with AEP (Alberta Environment and Parks) and read it for themselves and get a little bit better idea of what the biodigester is all about and to acknowledge the people that did send in questions to Foothills County by January 19, but didn't get those questions answered," she says.

They'll also have a copy of their petition on hand which currently has over 1,100 signatures on it and information on their gofundme site.

There won't be a formal presentation, Estes says it's basically a come and go open house.

It goes Sunday February 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Mason's Hall in High River.
