Canadian bison producers are having trouble meeting demand for
their product in the United States.

Mark Silzer, president of the Saskatchewan Bison Association,
says there's still a border restriction in place on ruminant
animals, including bison, over 30 months of age.

Silzer says if the rule is scrapped, it will be a big boost to
the industry.

He says bison prices will go up if the border is opened to
animals of all ages.
