The Okotoks Bisons find themselves in a hole, down one game to none to the Coaldale Copperheads thanks to a 6-3 loss in their playoff opener Wednesday night in Okotoks.

Bisons Captain Darren Bordt says falling behind 4-0 after the first period makes it tough to come back.

"We won the last two periods. We fell apart in the first period and that's what it came down to."

Bordt says they need to come out harder and smarter in the first period so they don't fall behind early.

The Bisons and Copperheads head to Coaldale for game two in the best of seven Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League South Division semi-final series Saturday.

Game three is back in Okotoks Sunday starting at 3:15 P.M. at the Murray Arena.
