The Okotoks Bisons get back to work Monday, August 27, as they kick off their training camp with the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League season right around the corner.

Coach Chris Beston says they're going into camp and this season with high expectations.

"We finished tied for first last year, so there's no reason we shouldn't build off of that year."

Bisons GM Brent Trevors says he's really excited about the team they're going to put on the ice this year.

"We really like where we're going and to just add what we know we need here or there as the course of the year goes on. It always happens kids come around and you can always get stronger as the year goes on. You know, I'm excited. Like I say, it's a good young group. I think this year and next year are going to be two really good years."

The Bisons will face the High River Flyers in a pair of back to back pre-season games Friday, September 7 and Saturday, September 8.
