A negotiation committee has been set up including Foothills County and the City of Calgary.

The Annexation Negotiation Committee has already agreed on a strategy to get feedback on a proposed annexation.

About 415 acres of land on the west side of Calgary’s southern boundary with the County is being looked at by the city.

It was pegged previously as a long-term growth area for Calgary, dating back to the 2017 Intermunicipal Development Plan.

A private consultant will facilitate public consultations with residents in both municipalities starting in April.
