The Calgary Police Service (CPS) has located and arrested a man wanted in connection to the killing of a woman from Okotoks.

Gerald Russell Frommelt (37) was located today (May 6) at around 3:50 p.m. at a residence in the 1900 block of 24 Street S.W.

A second-degree murder warrant for Frommelt was issued on April 12 after the shooting death of 23-year-old Jamie Lynn Scheible on April 7.

An update from CPS in late April indicated that Frommelt might have been receiving help hiding and that charges could be laid on anyone assisting him in evading police.

CPS has not indicated that anyone else is facing charges at the moment.
