The Calgary Police Service (CPS) is seeking witnesses to a recent assault in Seton.

On August 12 at around 11 p.m., a woman was assaulted by a man in a grassy area near Seton Way and Seton Drive Southeast.

It's believed to have been a domestic assault, and a suspect was taken into custody.

Their names are not being released to protect the victim's identity.

Investigators say witnesses drove by the incident and honked as they passed to try and stop the assault, and police are looking to identify them.
