A recent poll shows Western Canada farmers are cutting corners on the number of years they rotate canola through their fields.

Harley House, a Brand Manager for Seed Treatments with BASF-Canada says the reason for it comes down to one common denominator... Money.

"With canola being one of the top revenue crops the last few years for growers is they've been pushing that rotation into one in three years, one in two years, in order to take advantage of price and commodity opportunities that canola has presented."

The poll shows only one in three farmers are rotating their canola every four years as recommended.
