Bullies take it outside the schoolyard.

Bill Belsey, creator of cyberbullying.ca, says one in four kids are harassed on-line.  He says it goes beyond email and text messages.  "It can involve the use of bash  boards, which are discussion board formatS used to put down others," he says.  "There are also on-line polling booths that can be easily set up where others will vote for the ugliest girl, or whatever the put-down might be."

Belsey says cyberbullying has been linked to several teen suicides in Canada and even well-known school shootings like Columbine.

He's giving a talk Tuesday evening at 7:00 at the Council Chambers in the High River Town Office.  Admission is free.  For more information, call Trevor at FCSS 652-8620.
