Dale Cote of Milo, Alberta received his promotion to the side of his Lord on Aug 23, 2017, the anniversary of his good friend Ward Willard. Dale’s youth was spent with his parents, Cecil and Clarence (nee – Nelson) Cote and his siblings on their farm near Carseland. In his early twenties, he began working for Ole Willard near Milo and remained there. An avid outdoorsman, Dale new every bug, bird, plant and animal and was extremely well read. He trained thoroughbred racehorses for many years for the Willard’s. He climbed mountains in Peru, Ecuador, Pakistan, Mexico and more. Rock and ice climbing were also his passions. Dale was very creative and artistic as a child and throughout his life with probably his most practical creation being his floating posts. His most artistic one would be his magnificent Orchid Tree. He is survived by his sister Dianne Cote of Calgary, his brother George (Nina) of Redwood Meadows and brother Jim (Brenda) of Carseland. Also, his adopted family of Marsha, Sharon, Jess and Liberty Willard and the Schniffer families of Scott (Stephanie), Willard, Derrick (Meggin), Mark (Amy) and their combined 12 children.

As Candace Villette said, “Perhaps God is wanting to redesign His Pearly Gates…He certainty has the right man for the job now!”
