Amid the heat wave, Diamond Valley Fire Rescue is cooling down locals in a pretty unique way.

On Tuesday, they held a ‘Pop Up Water Park,’ making use of an aerial fire truck.

After seeing a good turnout from local families, they’re bringing it back on Thursday, July 11.

They’ll be set up at Millenium Park from 12-3 p.m.

Deputy Fire Chief Trevor Doublet says it’s unclear how often they’ll be holding these Pop Up Water Parks, as the conditions have to be right.

“It’s dependent on the Heat Warnings from Environment Canada but also ensuring that we have sufficient water resources in our water supply and making sure we’re not depleting the community of any required water… We’re working in conjunction with the Public Works department to ensure we have the water to do this.”
