The Okotoks Oilers pulled off a dramatic comeback on Saturday night in Spruce Grove.

Not sure if Oiler Jagger Tapper was wearing the halo, but the Oilers came back from being down 4-1 to beat the Saints 5-4 in overtime.

The Saints got on the scoreboard first and lead 1-0 after the first period with the Oilers outshooting them 8-3.

Jagger Tapper would then score unassisted at 4:24 of the second to even it up, it would be his first of four points on the night, but the Saints responded with three goals before Oilers Hayden Fechner would score, on an assist from Tapper, with only four seconds left in the second to send it the intermission with the Saints leading 4-2.

In the third, Ryder De Nys would score his first as an Oiler, from Tapper to get within one and then with goalie Mikael Kingo on the bench for the extra player Tapper would score his second of the night with assists going to Dean Spak and Kade Duell at 18:10 forcing the game into overtime.

And it was Owen MacNeil, off a feed from Jack Silverberg and Sam Hall, scoring the overtime winner.

It's the Oilers second win over the Spruce Grove Saints since the move to the BCHL.

The Oilers now can return home to the Centennial arena on Friday March 1 to host the Sherwood Park Crusaders at 7 before heading to Brooks on Saturday.
