The high school students who call education plus home around the foothills held their graduation Friday.
Dave Hodson, principal of alternative programs says they had a large number of kids graduate which shows the program works. He says they had as many students graduate this year as they have in any year.
17 of the 25 were able to cross the stage, but the rest were busy at full time jobs or other activities that kept them from attending regular school classes.
Hodson says the one big advantage of the program is the ability for the kids to set their own schedule which teaches them the organizational and responsibility skills needed for a working life.
