The Okotoks Oilers are in it tough against the top team in the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

The South Finals get started Friday night in Brooks as the Bandits host the Oilers.

The Bandits took five of their six games against Okotoks although all were close except for one.

Okotoks went into the playoffs ranked fourth in the South and took out Blackfalds in four straight in the opening round and the Drumheller Dragons, winning in six games.

The Bandits got an opening round bye thanks to their first-place finish in the regular season and dispatched the Canmore Eagles in four straight in the South semis.

Both teams should be well rested going into this series.

Okotoks has been off for nine days since eliminating Drumheller, while Brooks has been idle for over two weeks since dispatching Canmore.

Games one and two are tonight and tomorrow night in Brooks with games three and four back in Okotoks.

All games can be heard on the Eagle 100.9 starting with the pre-game show at 6:45 and the game follows at 7:00 p.m..
