Farm shares prairie heritage with others

Sales are up for an Acme area farm's sideline.

John Moore and family have a small mixed farm northeast of Calgary and are sharing some of their prairie heritage in packages of ornamental grass seed.

Moore says interest is growing with their website getting thousands of hits and sales up over last year.

"Well farming's farming I'm afraid, It's challenging", he says, "Cattle prices are up and down and grain prices are down, there's no up about it".

Moore says urban Albertans like to stay connected with the farm so the diversification is working.
