Macleod Member of Parliment Ted Menzies disagrees with the leader of the NDP. Jack Layton says Canada has the capacity to contribute as many as 12-hundred soldiers to the UN mission enforcing the ceasefire in Lebanon.
Menzies is surprised with Layton's comments. He says Layton has demanded we pull our troops out of Afghanistan and as recently as the spring wanted them sent to Darfur.
Menzies says the flavour of the day now must be Labanon.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper claims that Canada's presence in afghanistan has stretched the country's military too thin to contribute to the Lebanon mission.
