Okotoks' own Finlay Knox picked up a bronze medal in the pool at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.

The swimming phenom won it as part of Team Canada's 4x100 metre freestyle relay.

Australia won gold, setting a new Commonwealth games record.

Canada's time of 3.13.01 earned the team the bronze medal with England coming in second and picking up silver.

The 21-year-old Knox also swam a personal best time on Friday in the 50 metre butterfly finishing 13th overall.

The Commonwealth games wrap up on Monday August 8.
