Flood diversion was on the minds of those assembled  at High River town council last night. Al Gillis, is one of a group of concerned residents of the town's Northwest end, hardest hit in last year's flooding. He says they want to see a plan to divert the river in case of another flood, but Gillis says coming up with what "diversion" actually means is a challenge. Councillor, Cyrill Abbott, is the new face of "flood control" in High River and has volunteered, as the Chair of the Environmental Assests Committee, to be the liason between citizens, council and various levels of government in dealing with flood concerns.
