In the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League on October 27, it was the annual "Pink the Rink" event in the Bob Snodgrass Rec-plex in High River, with proceeds from auctioned custom jerseys, going towards supporting the High River Cancer Centre.

The game could have went better for the Flyers as they fell 8-3 to the Airdrie Techmation Thunder, who remains undefeated on the season.

The Flyers have some time off, and will be back on the road to Three Hills on November 3.

Transitioning from playing the leagues leading team, they'll now be against the last place team in the HJHL as they square up against the Thrashers at 7 p.m.

As for the Bisons, they managed to win their second back to back matchup away in Red Deer, against the Vipers.

It was a close call for the Bisons, managing a win in overtime, rounding out the final score at 3-2.

The Bisons crew will be heading out to Strathmore for their next game against the Wheatland Kings on October 30.

The Lomond Lakers had a rough time out in Cochrane for their Saturday matchup against the Generals.

The final score of the night was 8-0 for the Generals.

They'll wrap up their weekend on the road again, in Blackfalds versus the Wranglers on October 28 at 3:30 p.m.
