The High River Flyers strapped the skates on last night for the Eli Gosselin Memorial Game.

1000 Game NHL Referee, Tom Kowal, Was on hand for the ceremonial puck drop, then the game was underway.

The Coaldale Copperheads came through town for the Flyers last home game of the season.

The Flyers came out fast, scoring the first goal, but a quick series of goals in response chased out Flyers starting goalie Bryce Shigelski in favour of Billy Cawthorn.

Cawthorn wasn't able to turn things around and the Copperheads take the win 7 to 4 over the Flyers.

The Flyers head to Strathmore tomorrow night to square off with the Wheatland Kings.

Puck drops at 7:30 pm.
