Officials with the Foothills School Division are appealing for people to respect the choices individuals make over the next while.

They're following the Province's lead when it comes to COVID mandates.

Students will no longer have to wear a mask inside the schools or on buses as of Monday Feb. 14.

A statement on the division's website says employees, contractors, visitors, volunteers, and practicum students will still be required to wear a mask as will adults visiting schools.

Starting March 1 all mask requirements and capacity limits will be removed.

Safety measures are being kept in place like cohorting, increased cleaning, personal protective equipment and masks will be available as well as frequent hand washing.

They're asking the school community to be respectful of individual choices made by employees, families, and students.
