The burn-out is back this year and was a big hit with spectators and car and truck fans.

River City Classics organizes and hosts it in conjunction with the annual Show and Shine that's on Sunday.

The burn-out happened right on Centre St. as it was closed down to traffic earlier today as safety barriers were erected.

It got underway at 5:00 p.m. and you could smell the burning rubber for blocks as the smoke-show thrilled the spectators.

And the annual show and shine was just renamed the Brian Chipchase Sr. Memorial after the long-time volunteer with the organization passed away earlier this year.

The 1st Annual Brian Chipchase Sr. Memorial Show and Shine runs from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday Sept. 25 in downtown High River.
