Holy Trinity Academy's 2022 graduation ceremony was held Tuesday (June 29).

The event represented a return to the norm for the schools, as it was held at St. James Church, across the street from HTA.

St. James is the traditional venue for HTA graduations, but that hasn't been the case for the last two years, due to the pandemic.

Families were once again able to attend in person, and the traditional stole ceremony, presentation of diplomas, and guest speeches all went ahead as they did for many years before COVID.

Valedictorian Isabel Schuck and Salutatorian David Samson delivered speeches, both of which reflected on the grueling challenges of the pandemic, and the obstacles they'll easily be able to dispatch after getting through high school amid a global pandemic.

Schuck's achievement as the Valedictorian was particularly notable, given that her sister Alexandra was HTA's 2021 Valedictorian.

The ceremony was also significant for Principal Carmen Ostafichuk and Vice-Principal James Leidl, who accepted positions elsewhere within Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools (CTR) this year.

Ostafichuk is CTR's new director of human resources, and Leidl is St. Francis of Assisi Academy's new principal.
