There's no shortage of things to do in High River this weekend.

With a street hockey tournament, a bike rodeo, and a park-wide picnic on tap, you've got options.

The annual 'Fury in the Foothills' street hockey tournament is back and it's still in the back parking lot behind Boston Pizza.

If you're not registered, it's still a lot of fun to watch, and it's on from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

There's also a bike rodeo for kids at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex's east-side parking lot.

Protective Services will be on hand demonstrating some safe riding techniques. Bring your bike and a helmet and it runs from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Then get ready for food, fun, and families at the annual Picnic with a Purpose in George Lane Park on Sunday.

It's a free event showcasing all the non-profit service groups within the Foothills. There is a lot to do too, with live entertainment, face painting, a petting zoo, and a lot of games for kids to play. You're welcome to bring your own picnic or you can buy BBQ hot dogs for only a toonie. It runs from 11 am until 2:30 p.m.

And it's also the unofficial kickoff to garage sale season with the Parade of Garage Sales running all day Saturday in High River.

The weather is expected to be nice too with highs in the low to mid 20s with no rain expected.
