Wow today was a great way to kick off the long weekend!

Today was the grand re-opening of the Musem of the Highwood after a tragic fire that took place about 2 years ago. Through the help of a suppportive community and amazing volunteers the museum is open again with some beautiful restoration.

The rope cutting of the museum was done by long time volunteer of the museum Bill Holmes and the mayor of High River Emile Blokland.

Kids loved the rope making where they got the chance to make their own rope and then could keep it as a souvenir.

The flint demonstration caught the interest of people where they learned lots of interesting facts.

The staff at the museum were so nice and welcoming! You definitely could feel all the positive energy in the air about the museum being open again.

Tomorrow I'm off to the Bar U Ranch National Historic Site so I hope to see you there!
