The Town of Okotoks is warning of more coyote sightings in town.

Five of them were reported near Lubetown on North Railway Street.

Earlier this summer, several incidents of aggressive coyotes and even deer were reported.

While coyotes are a fairly common sight in Okotoks, the town will notify residents of cases such as this, or of aggressive animals.

They're reminding residents not to feed wild animals and to keep pets close by on a leash.

Aggressive coyote encounters should be reported to the Report a Poacher phone line: 1 (800) 642-3800, and if you're in immediate danger, call 911.
