The Southern Alberta Marijuana Investigative Team executed search warrants on two
farms near Okotoks Tuesday.
Located on one farm was a marijuana grow operation with 11-hundred and 50 plants. The value of the plants is approximately 1.4 million dollars
Located on the second farm was half a kilogram of bud marijuana.
36-year-old Shirley Chan and 78-year-old Pieter Besselink both of Okotoks have been charged with production of marijuana, possession for the purpose, and possession of stolen property.
They're to appear in provincial court in Okotoks.
